St. Francis de Sales Mission Statement

St. Francis de Sales taught that God's grace is present to us at all times. We respond to our vocation as a holy people of God by leading those among us to God's presence in our worship, in our Christian formation, by our gifts of time, talent and treasure, and through Christian service.

Worship

God beckons our full, active, conscious participation when we joyfully gather to worship and be nourished in a unity of Word, song, prayer and sacrament.

Christian Formation

God's Word, the Church's traditions and teaching, and our informed conscience all compromise our lifelong Christian formation. We continually serve one another in that formation.

Stewardship

Through Baptism, we each have a gift to be used, a talent to be shared, and a part to play in sustaining and building up this parish community. We recognize the parish's vitality diminished when even one member buries or hides a God given talent or gift.

Service

Christ calls us to have the heart of a servant and to wash one another's feet through acts of charity and mercy. We implement this calling through our various ministries and outreach programs. We are especially vigilant to champion the innate dignity of those least able to assert that dignity.
